Whatever.  It.  Takes.

That’s my motto to ensure we will capture the absolute best photos of you throughout your wedding day.  If and when I do my job right, you will not routinely see me quietly running in the background, bending, twisting, turning, and crawling around to find that perfect composition to best document your special day.  I like to think of myself as a modern day camera ninja.  I will inevitably ruin yet another pair of slacks in the process, but it is always worth it!  Phenomenal photos are my lifeblood!

THE LIGHT PAINTER

Husband.     Father.     Dog lover.     Golden Domer.

  World Traveller.     MacGyver.

I’m living the dream!  Although it happened many years later than I would have liked, I am truly truly fortunate to have finally found my calling.  I am grateful to wake up each and every morning to do what I love and I am excited to go to “work” every day!  My goal is to become more than just your photographer, but rather your friend that also happens to take amazing photographs for you and your family.  As a former engineer, I have an eye for the details and I meticulously plan and prepare for your wedding day and engagement session to ensure we effectively and fully document each and every fleeting moment.

I was born in the Midwest, raised in the great Pacific Northwest, and I studied engineering at Notre Dame, Go Irish!  I spent over a decade quietly serving our great nation and traveling the world, meeting many wonderful and interesting people along the way.  I have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane once (without telling my mother first otherwise we wouldn’t be speaking today) and I’ve ran with the bulls at the Fiesta de San Fermín in Pamplona, Spain.

Thank you to my college friend who just happened to be my D.C. roommate at the time … he dragged me out to a going away party on a random Friday night thirteen years ago.  As fate would have it … I met the love of my life that evening.  And today her and I have two amazing little girls, a great dog and a home with a white picket fence, we are truly blessed and are living the American dream.  In my free time, I regularly rock plaid, love my D.I.Y. projects, BBQ mastering and home brewing.  I look forward to getting to know you better and taking some amazing photographs that you and your family will enjoy for generations!
